I've been digging up some of my stuff from when I was in Baltimore. I was trying to look for something else but ended up looking at my old stuff one by one, piece by piece. It was quite fun doing so. I actually am not done yet as I just started with it. I saw some baseball cards, movie tickets (a bunch of them in a small box), pictures, little notebooks, the like.
It was nice seeing them again and getting to think of all those things. The best thing about it is that most are still fresh in my mind. What I'd like to find next are those tickets to baseball games, that pre-season Ravens ticket (oh wait, i have it inside a book. never mind.), the US Open ticket (washed by the rain, though I have it in my external hard drive). Some things pretty much sum up my existence and those couple of papers or what not's, tell a story of my history and describes me in more ways than I know to describe myself.

dose of this weekend
this weekend, the world saw two meltdowns that will forever sting two peoples lives.
(1) Serena Williams
(2) Kanye West
im not going to comment more about these two "happenings" but ive been having a fun time reading comments about these two, especially the angry comments against Kanye. these are two trending topics you can look up on Twitter, so read up and know what i mean. =)

i dunno who's wrong, maybe it is me
i was trying this flickr to twitter photo posting for dinosaur phones. unlike having the iphone app Twitterfon (that lets u post directly to Twitterpic with a tap of the button), flickr to twitter has steps where u have to send this text message to this number, then follow this step so u can set it up like this. its such a caveman approach really. driving me nuts earlier. so yeah, i tried with a pic in my phone but it ended up here on my blog! well that works too though. i mean if i cannot tweet my sports escapades this weekend, then i guess i have to blog it directly! sounds fun? extra!

Good news. Bad news.
Good news: Andy Murray is getting higher on the tennis rankings. He can be number two any time soon.
Bad news: he is getting Roger Federer's ranking.

here's a link to a video of RF crying during his speech yesterday at the Australian Open. even if i saw the winning point, i did not wait to watch the awarding ceremonies, got too stressed out with the thought of RF not winning.
Cannot find a way to embed this, so just click this link. http://www.humorearth.com/videos/view/id/73/Federer-cry-at-Australian-Open

My Australian Open Men's Finals Notes: Third to Fifth Set

Third Set
Federer 0 - Nadal 1
revenge of the rafa nadal. he had control of the ball.
Federer 1 - Nadal 1
Ace #7, and good inside court range for Roger Federer.
Federer 1 - Nadal 2
game has been running for two hours now (thats why ive been yawning). sucha fan fare to watch these two. they closed in court and volleyed short range, that made things interesting.
Federer 2 - Nadal 2
Nadal turns defense to offense, damn. ace #8 for roger.
Federer 2 - Nadal 3
yes...oh! damn! Nadal got that shot! eeesh! and a double fault for Nadal again. either way, he got this rally.
Federer 3 - Nadal 3
a hard first serves for Federer.
Federer 3 - Nadal 4
more good rallies
Federer 4 - Nadal 4
just as Nadal feels some pain on his legs, Federer has been taking advantage of it
Federer 4 - Nadal 5
good offense for Nadal, except that time where they ended up with a deuce.
Federer 5 - Nadal 5
inside court, short volleys, and a slow sure shot.
Federer 5 - Nadal 6
Nadal feels the heat!
6:41 am. i stop watching the game. waiting for tracker. will update more via points.
Federer 6 - Nadal 7
Fourth Set
Federer 6 - Nadal 3
Fifth Set
Federer 2 - Nadal 6
winning point was a long shot that went outside the baseline.
PS: RF has three more chances on the finals... okay maybe two (so as to exclude the French Open again)... to be at par with the mighty Pete

My Australian Open Men's Finals Notes: Second Set
Second Set
Federer 1 - Nadal 0
Roger does his ace 4 and 5 here.
Federer 1 - Nadal 1
(i didnt get to pay attention. making hot cocoa)
Federer 2 - Nadal 1
sweetness! 40-0!
Federer 2 - Nadal 2
Nadal makes his first ace. Federer seems to have some mental struggle, especially after his challenge.
Federer 2 - Nadal 3
good inside court play, but you see Federer on his mental struggle again. sadly.
Federer 3 - Nadal 3
this is the Nadal struggle seen now. back to back errors including a double serve fault.
Federer 4 - Nadal 3
Federer gets back to his game.
Federer 5 - Nadal 3
Nadal does a good calculation of Federer's range, but Federer answers him with a good calculation as well. Nadal makes ace #2. good Federer defense.
Federer 6 - Nadal 3
this is where Federer shows that he has control of his territory, he has control of his range, and that he is taking advantage of being on the offense.

My Australian Open Men's Finals Notes: First Set
First Set
Federer 0 - Nadal 1
this has got to be the worst ive seen Federer. or something like that. but double faults? seriously? made me sad.
Federer 1 - Nadal 1
u feel the intensity on this set. and its so long. 4 Deuces! not good for someone who slept for 1.5 hours.
Federer 2 - Nadal 1
and Feds makes an ace!
Federer 2 - Nadal 2
unforced errors again
Federer 3 - Nadal 2
Federer challenges a point given to Nadal because he was right, dude! that ball was out! so he got his point for that. and after a deuce, Federer got sealed the deal with an ace.
Federer 4 - Nadal 2
that backhand was perfect, Roger! it looked like the ball curved around Rafa and make its way to be inside the court. sheesh! astonishing!
Federer 4 - Nadal 3
what happened there?
Federer 4 - Nadal 4
forehand sucked it. it got him into an error. (for RF)
Federer 5 - Nadal 4
unforced error on Nadal. you can feel that Roger is getting into Rafa's nerves (and vice versa).
Federer 5 - Nadal 5
Roger is so fluid, and the form always amazes me.
Federer 5 - Nadal 6
that was a good inside shot, Roger! getting Rafa unaware. but that was a good inside shot too, Rafa! it was pretty much "in your face" shot there.
Federer 5 - Nadal 7
what can i say? im broken.

Super Bowl? sheesh! (without the Ravens, there's no more Super Bowl for me!) Its the Australian Open for me!
GO ROGER FEDERER! GO!!!!
PS: both players are pretty bright like a hazard light. Federer with royal blue, and Nadal with those bright yellow green strips (bandana and wrist bands... and shoes)

yey! this is a GREAT start. Federer won against Roddick, and he is now off to fight for Finals! weeh!!!! i love it! we are now awaiting if it will be against Nadal or Verdasco. hmmm... either will be exciting. Nadal is the usual nemesis, the game will be exciting just as usual. if it is Verdasco, then it will be exciting as well.
go Federer! regain the crown! regain the title! regain the #1 spot!!! Rock it!

Novak Djokovic
i said earlier how sad it was that the reigning champs of the Australian Open lost this year. as i was watching some of Serena Williams' game earlier against Svetlana Kuznetsova, the announcers were talking about how disappointing Novak's actions were when he decided to retire his game against Andy Roddick in the Quarterfinals. what? i wondered if i heard that right. i paid much attention to more discussions and i did hear it right, but that didnt mean that it will stop me from doing a search on it.
i googled his name and there came up his wikipedia entry. second paragraph (so far) under 2009 tells us about the Australian Open disappointment. then i had to check out another site, the Australian newspaper that confirmed that Novak's withdrawal from the game is due to exhaustion from the heat, and he had claims of physical soreness.
my thought for a second... lame! on second thought though, maybe that is how hot it is really in Australia now. *here's what Al Gore is fighting against now! (as against to the laughing comments in Fox like "global warming? what global warming? we're too cold here!")* and the next one i thought of? that high school football player who died of heat stroke. i would be pretty devastated if it happens to Novak.
so maybe it was for the best, i just hope though that given better weather conditions, he would fight hard and not withdraw from his games. he is a very good player, and he is too young to quit.
