sleep

its 530pm on a Monday and I realized that I slept most of the day. i know i fell asleep at around 12 midnight last night after sipping some wine from the work party, then came home to drink my usual vitamins and then added the antihistamine. then i realized it was 9am. But that didnt stop there, coz next i realized it was 10am. wow! how did that happen? guess i fell asleep again. between 10 to 1045 i still had naps, until my mom called me and told me she was going to my grandma's. i didnt go with her but that was a cue that i have to wake up too. so some things in between (ie: check emails, watch TV, read tweets, post tweets, shower), at 12nn i was out of the door to the mall across my building to eat lunch. i felt like having spaghetti, due mainly to me celebrating my Uncle's birthday (noodles for long life they say), then I ate, met up with my mom for a bit, she had me run some errands for her, then I got a huge cup of coffee (thanks CBTL), then I was back inside my pad at 230pm.

then by 3pm, I was sleeping again and just woke up not too long ago.

right now, i feel like i just carried a luggage on my eyes. i still cant open it properly. this feeling cant absolutely be right. it feels really weird. I've never felt like a log in my whole life until now. a worthless log even. i guess im thankful that today our group didnt have an office yet or else i would've started my day way early. at least right now i can take a break, sleep, and do my homeworks when my stubborn eyes have cooperated with me. but it doesnt say that i dont feel like sh*t coz of this. when these things happen, u just feel like uve lost a chunk of ur life and unable to get it back.

or maybe to compensate for lost hours, i gotta stay awake the whole night. lets see how that goes then.

roller coaster ride

it starts off with a blast. you are drawn at launch. you let yourself lose, you scream, you shout. you put your hands in the air, feeling the euphoria of the ride. then it stops, a sudden stop, then it launches you back into another loop.

then next thing you know, it is done.

and when its done, you get this sigh of relief. its made to end.

today is April 2nd, 2009. i usually take note of it when it hits this day because for some reason, this date got stuck to me. i dont know what this date means though. it was the date for our High School Prom, and the Senior Ball, both events was left on the recesses of my brain, but other than that, i know there's something else to it... i just cannot figure out properly... hmmm....

maybe, like the Prom and the Ball events, its on the recesses of my brain as well.

its either my BP or i hit my head too hard

if you watched the game, i dont need to tell you why my head is spinning right now. i think tho i hit my head too hard during fourth quarter when i slapped it with my hands. both fear, frustration, and glee, the whole game ate me too much.
Ravens win, 13-10. Luck? part of it. but oh well, lets see more next week!
God bless the Ravens.

PS: the BK commercial made me crave for some greasy cheeseburger. seriously.

Playoffs making me sissy

i got teary eyed with that pass that Flacco made to Mason. that 7 points made me cry.
updates later, and more sissy-ness.

Dr. Jose Rizal

The Philippines is celebrating Rizal Day today. Dec 30th is the day when Dr. Jose Protacio Mercado Rizal was shot in Bagumbayan which is now known as Luneta Park. He is the Philippine national hero for he fought against Spanish occupation by acquiring knowledge that the foreigners can give him, and fought with his mighty quill pen and wrote powerful novels and other materials that the Spanish deemed subversive.

I am a fan of Rizal because I love reading "Noli Me Tangere". i have three copies of "Noli", an easy reading from High School, another Filipino version i picked from the bookstore, and the nicest and my favorite one which is my college book that is in English. the English version had more power for me when I read it. oh yeah! I also have a comic book version of "Noli". Its been a while that I've read it (say, four years), and I am quite disappointed that I was not able to bring that book when I came here to MD. If u get to see a copy of that book, try to read it. It is a nice piece of art that will surely get you hooked. its sequel, "El Filibusterismo" is a wonderful book as well, but not as much as "Noli". Comparably, "Noli" has a better structure and with more compassion. "El Fili" has more grit and emotions to its story, and it has a direct approach on being subversive, i might say.

(Found a link to the whole book, they said. i haven't read it so I'm curious how they translated it. http://www.fullbooks.com/The-Social-Cancer.html)

Post-Christmas Posts (3)

its Sunday, and you've been sleeping in another hour for the past couple of days because it was a pretty long holiday (or vacation).
NEWS FLASH: after Sunday is Monday!!!
what's new? nothing. it just means that you have to set the alarm two hours early again because you will be waking up an hour after the alarm rings (yes, it never fails me). i mean, don't get me wrong, there's New Year's Day and all, but... (coz im talking Christmas here). so anyway, just to share with you this site that i found. i googled "jump start your life after the holiday" and this was one of the sites that came up. nice keywords, right?

our friends are in the Philippines right now because a relative of theirs is getting married today. my aunt in the Philippines is also attending a wedding today. is it the same wedding? i am not sure. lets find out later. for now, i shall share something weird why i have to mention it.

two days after Christmas, the 27th, is this special day that i inducted to be the prospective day of when i want to get married. i have no clue why, neither do i have a special reason. i just want it that way... or i mean if given the chance i just want it that way. i dont like to get married on Christmas day, no special reason too, i just want it to be on the 27th, and that is regardless if it falls on a weekend (just like this year) or a weekday (just like in 2011).

so whatever, here's a site about Planning for a Wedding that is around Christmas-time.

Do you still have some ham?
I am stuffed right now, but there are lots of ham available. i like eating ham. i eat ham and cheese sandwich, cook the ham bone then mix beans with it, cook ham bone and mix pasta with it (soup), ham and pasta salad, ham and fried rice, ham and hot white rice, ham wrap, mashed potatoes with ham bits, Caesar salad with ham, ham omelette, eggs benedict, chicken cordon bleu, ham casserole, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. (most of all, i like ham with hot white rice and a sunny side up egg).
here is a list of what you can do with your holiday left overs, if you cannot find it appetizing, then maybe heat it up and celebrate the UK Boxing Day.

Going Christmas (5)

Merry Christmas!
Did you wake up to the smell of hot cocoa? If you did, then that is nice. Did you wake up and run to the tree and see if Santa gave you some gifts? Did Santa follow the list you made or did he have ESP and read your mind? OR did you even sleep last night, and just waited the whole night if Santa was going to slide down the chimney and friendly Rudolph the reindeer rang his cowbells before saying goodbye? I dunno if Mr. Clause gave you the right gifts, but i left my Christmas sock by the fire place and hope that the elves left me something instead.
This next list talks about gifts. I actually don't care about this list, because it did not include the Christmas gift that is most practical that anyone can think of.... gift cards.

How are you celebrating Christmas? if you are celebrating it cuddling in the couch with your dog, a blanket, and a bowl of popcorn, this one is for you. WAIT!!! no that is too morbid... again, if you are planning to have a movie marathon with your whole family, here is the site for you. http://movies.aol.com/holiday-movies/best-christmas-movies There are 25 movies in this list, but then here's another list that caters to kids more (oh yeah! especially Home Alone, you gotta show that to the kids!) http://kidstvmovies.about.com/od/christmas/tp/topchristmas.htm
. but also before you head out to the local rental place, check out the list of Worst Christmas Movies (oh no! it includes the movie that I've seen one too many times! Jingle All The Way!!!)

Going Christmas (3)

dude, seriously, this is so late. this list wouldn't help you at all coz its two days before Christmas. now maybe read this and then plan it for next year. if you happen to decide to go to one of these places, like Carol City, FL, maybe send me a postcard.
but then again... how far is Carol City from Orlando?

Going Christmas (2)

by this time, kids are preparing to be in the Christmas spirit. they are dreaming of 230pm when the class is over and is it Christmas break now? but kids, before you get out of school, bring home some cute goodies called books. these books might be available in your school library or if not, check out the local library. you dont need to have a required reading to read books, right? you just have to be in that spirit of reading books that are thematic, in this case, themed for Christmas.

Going Christmas (1)

by this time, i know that i wont be attentive with my blog since i am hopefully enjoying this sunny place where we are (or it might be just relatively warmer than Baltimore), so i decided to make use of blog scheduling tool to trick you that i am very much into my blog where ever i am (if checking it almost every minute is not even being addicted).

so Merry Christmas. in the next couple of days starting today, i shall have some top ten stuff for you. what else good to start it with than give you a list of songs to listen to. why? because they say that you can feel the Christmas spirit when you listen to some songs. in my quest to get you that site, i came across the anti-thesis also. so in the spirit of fair play, i shall present to you the Top Ten Best Christmas Songs and the Top Ten Worst Christmas Songs.

Allan sent me this link so that i can help him promote it. Besides promoting Manny Pacquiao, who is bouting it against Oscar De La Hoya on 12/06/2008, i am promoting this link so that everyone will see that he made it (or part of the team who made this site). Good Job Allan! and also, dont forget to post your "Go Manny!" shout out.
