forces of nature

there is a semi-large thump the twigs are making banging on some parts of the window.
there is a sound of water dripping. not too loud but the quiet room makes me hear it right away.
the sound that is like a huge tarpoline being flipped repeatedly by 15 people.

i dont need to see it. i just need to check the weather channel... and the school website for class cancellation (cross your fingers).
