Paris Je T'aime (2006)

at last i saw it!!! it came as the first one from my Blockbuster queue and it was so nice to see it. the format for Paris Je T'aime is like a shorts film fest about love in Paris in different perspectives made by different directors. as i shared this fondness with friend R, we both agreed that a couple of shorts would've been good if they made it a little longer.

example: the first one with the lady who fainted. though in the end you see them dating, its just nice to know what happened in between. that short also where natalie portman is, it was nice to know more about her love story with the blind guy.

the other shorts were either hilarious, or out of the ordinary, or extra cheesy. take for example the vampire short with Elijah Wood. the most hilarious thing was the blood. it was extremely textured of paint. haha! then there is the short with Steve Buscemi by the Coen Brothers. id say it was a little painful to watch. it may give a little bad character of the French. then there's the part with the mime who fell in love with another mime while in jail, it was also extremely hilarious. then the cheesy parts were that of Maggie Gyllenhall's missed opportunity with that other guy who sells dope to her. then the short with Juliette Binoche as the mother suffering from depression as she lost her son. it was painful and emotional. the part also where Rufus Sewell met with the ghost of Oscar Wilde to win his fiance back. then the "Bastille" part was also emotional, and really made great. and my favorite is the part where Nick Nolte plays the American in Paris who meets up with his daughter and ends up babysitting for her as she goes out with a friend. it was really nice to see Nick Nolte act on a short, lest it was nice to watch this short that could have fooled you thinking there was a different thing going on with him and the young lady. haha!
