we saw this last night, but i have the faintest memory. #1 before the movie, i already had a very bad headache with a mix of my allergies. #2 im no fan of jolie. she's fine but im not a fan. #3 i was there for the heck of it.
everyone knows that this movie is about Mariane Pearl and how she went through with the kidnapping and beheading of her husband Daniel Pearl. it was an emotional movie. it was full of drama. it was full of scenes that made my head ache all the more. the remember the Parker vs Goblin Jr fight on the air (with Goblins cool toys) on Spidey 3? didnt it make your head ache too much coz f too much details being shown? the shots were something like youd like to watch it on a smaller screen, DVD release, than the theater's screen. thats how i felt with watching this movie. (is that how vertigo happens?) anyway, it was pretty nice. though the story should make someone cry, i felt like not crying. (a) you knew it was coming. (b) did i tell you i slept for like 10 mins of the movie?
jolie was fine in the movie. her accent brought something different to the movie, but there was a scene when she was so angry, you wouldnt hear any different accent on how she talked.
i dunno if i'll recommend it for you to see. its okay actually, just that its making me think twice to recommend it. okay, maybe you should watch it. anyway, it's politically inclined and the story is timely since the time terrorism was born i guess.
3/5 stars. (not Oscar worthy yet for me... but who cares about me.)
